PLASTIQUE, a collection of twelve playful and poetic pop songs, explores the glamour and fantasy of international nightlife. Released this September on the London-based Electric label, PLASTIQUE features collaborations with numerous musicians and producers, including: Baptiste Feuillade (Paris), Ben Adorable (Chicago), Dirk Sanner (Dusseldorf), Jan Lehmann (Berlin), Leon Loiseau (Paris), Max Krefeld (Berlin), Jean Miyokan (San Francisco), Jude Rawlins (London), NAM:LIVE! (Montreal), and Juan Moreno (Milan).
AS PHOTOGRAPHER:
Exploring themes such as celebrity, sexuality, and identity, Dahlia 's photographs have been exhibited in group and solo shows in Connecticut, New York, Berlin, London, and Tel Aviv, as well as published in Nerve, Stern, Blue, BOB, and Next Exit magazines. Pop star Pink is the proud owner of two images from the “Lovergirl” series, while the images of “Late Afternoon” appear in the German edition of her book, I DON'T REALLY LOVE SEX.
AS WRITER:
Her first book, LOVERGIRL is a frank, revealing, and unsensationalized account of Dahlia's quest for meaning in the sex industry and in herself. The German edition of LOVERGIRL will be released this year by Heyne, a division of Random House. I DON'T REALLY LOVE SEX ( Sex Mag Ich Eigentlich Gar Nicht ), an anthology of her erotic fiction, along with accompanying photographs, is published in Germany by Maas Verlag and in America, as SEDUCE ME, by Avon Red, a division of HarperCollins. Her short stories have also appeared in erotic magazines and anthologies, including The Mammoth Book of Women's Erotic Fantasies (Robinson Press), Glamour Girls: Femme/Femme Erotica (Haworth Press), and The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica (Robinson Press).
